A Note on Packaging

Being an online store, packaging is an important part of my business and I thought about how am I going to make the products look more presentable, and how to protect the items that will be delivered to my customers… while minimizing unnecessary waste that goes to the landfills.

I strive to minimise using plastic materials in the packaging, and therefore decide on a paper drawer box to hold the Tsutsumi wraps. The paper drawer box can be reused as a container for stationery and knick-knacks. The thank you card can be reused as a bookmark. I encourage you to prolong their lifespans by reusing the paper drawer box and the thank you card, and I would love to hear from you on how do you repurpose them!

Each time I send out a Tsutsumi wrap, I also aim to minimise the use of plastic materials for package protection. So I choose to buffer the drawer box with honeycomb packaging paper, used bubble wraps recycled from suppliers, or used carton boxes collected from my family and friends. In some cases, I may also wrap your parcel in scrap fabric to double as extra padding, as well as bonus freebie for you to reuse. I will also choose shipping pouches made from recycled materials.

I hope you do not mind if the box suffers some slight dents during the delivery process. Do let me know at Checkout if you require extra extra package protection as you intend to give the item as a gift. I want to ensure that the box arrives in a good condition for you.

Let’s make the world a greener and cleaner place.
